About Us

Hastings man Gerald Funnell opened the doors of  'Gerald Funnell & Co' in 1974 and dedicated his 50 year career to providing quality legal advice to the people of Hastings and the surrounding area.

Cicely Perring, who in 1945 was the second woman to be enroled as a solicitor, came to Hastings at the end of the WWII, and opened her firm 'Perring & Co'.

1991 saw the merger of the two firms and the creation of Funnell & Perring. The firm is in its fourth decade at the same Queens Road offices and retains the same dedication that the Firms founders started with friendly and approachable solicitors who will provide accurate and timely advice and assistance in many aspects of the English law.

As a family orientated firm, we hope that the warm and friendly approach of our lawyers in traditional and comfortable surroundings will allow sensitive or difficult issues to be broached more easily.  We offer fixed fee consultations and by prior agreement appointments out of hours.
